Our program is perfect for students ready to channel their creativity into music. Obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to transfer into a Bachelor in Music (B.M.) program at a four-year institution.

- Experience our small class sizes and weekly one-on-one training sessions with an applied music instructor.
- Receive hands-on instruction in applicable knowledge in music theory, aural training, music history, various musical ensembles, performance practice and preparation, applied instrument training, and basic piano skills.
- Participate in live performance opportunities that reach our local community and beyond.
Our graduates can transfer to North Carolina and out-of-state senior institutions to pursue music careers.

The Associate in Fine Arts in Music (A.F.A. in Music) degree is designed for students who wish to transfer to one of the UNC Bachelor in Music (B.M.) programs under the Associate in Fine Arts in Music to Bachelor in Music Articulation Agreement (A.F.A. in Music to B.M. A.A). There are ten B.M.-granting institutions within the UNC system.
