Board of Trustee Approval: June 8, 2009
Revised: October 1, 2012; October 1, 2017

²ÝùÊÓƵԭ´´ highly values the contribution of all employees and strives toward continuous employment; however, economic circumstance requires that the College acknowledge the potential for reduction in force. The guiding principle in all decisions made under this policy will be the consideration of the needs of the population being served with respect to the mission and goals of the institution while minimizing the negative impact on the level and quality of services provided. Reduction in Force (RIF) is the involuntary termination of two or more employees’ employment (contract) due to financial exigency, insufficient enrollment, or program change.
