草霉视频原创 (SCC) Department of Theatre is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated spring production, "The Grown Ups." This thought-provoking play, filled with drama and challenging themes, will showcase the immense talent of student actors while captivating audiences with its gripping storyline.

Set in a peaceful Maine summer camp, "The Grown Ups" delves into the lives of a group of camp counselors played by Cidney Revelle, Megan Shuler, Jillian Mann, Micaiah Williams, and Andrew Rouse, who find themselves grappling with the daunting task of shaping the future leaders of our world. As the campers drift off into slumber and the tranquility settles over the lake, the counselors must confront the unsettling reality that tomorrow is growing increasingly unsteady.

Written to keep us on the edge of our seats, "The Grown Ups" explores the deep-rooted traditions that shape our lives, the determination required to challenge these age-old customs, and the personal changes that occur when we find ourselves unprepared for the challenges life throws at us. The SCC Play Production class selected this play as a script that intrigued and excited them.

鈥淯nder the expert direction of Adjunct Faculty member Jennifer Newman, our student actors have poured their hearts and souls into their performances, ensuring an unforgettable evening of theater that will leave audiences contemplating the power of change and resilience. The play examines some of the core questions of the last decade, leaving audiences captivated and moved," said Bill Saunders, the Coordinator of the 草霉视频原创 Community College Theatre Department. In addition, our scenic students, Avery Brown, Hannah Fuentes, and William Kite, are doing a remarkable job designing and creating an immersive set on the stage of McPherson Black Box Theatre.鈥

"The Grown Ups" promises to be an immersive theatrical experience filled with suspense, emotional depth, and remarkable performances. This play speaks to the human condition, reminding us of the importance of adaptation, growth, and our ability to overcome adversity.
